Safety

Text Size  :  1 2 3

During your course with us we will provide you with the necessary safety gear and kites for you to have great time, safely. Each of our instructors are fully P.K.S.F. (Power Kite Sports Federation) qualified, trained in first aid CPR and have undergone CRB checks.

On this page we're going to run down some safety concepts that you're going to come into contact with during your course, along with some of the gear. Please read the sections opposite before attending.

Insurance

Iit would be a good idea to get some third party insurance (roughly between £15-£30 a year for £5m worth of third party cover). Kite insurance is available from either:

:  BPKA (British Kitesports Assocation)
:  BKSA (British Kitesurfing Association)

For more details about insurance have a look our Kiting Insurance page.

That said, there is one bit of insurance that isn't on the list: common sense. It's the best safety 'add-on' money can buy and it comes with some very easy-to-use instructions:

"If you think the wind is too strong, it probably is. If you think your kite's too big, it probably is."
